DAY ONE & TWO - MOMBASA
Whenever you arrive, you'll be met and transferred to the beautiful white sand beaches of Kenya 's famous Diani Coast south of Mombasa , for two wonderful days of relaxation as you unwind from your journey and prepare for your big-game safari. Breakfasts and dinners at the Serena Beach Hotel
DAY THREE & FOUR - TSAVO
In the morning depart for Tsavo National park , Kenyan's largest, with its hundreds of extinct volcanic cones, famous red elephants, and herds of antelope, zebra and giraffe. During your two exceptional days here you'll also be able to visit Mzima Springs, where 50 million gallons of fresh water flow daily in underground rivers from Mt. Kilimanjaro over a lava rock oasis, forming pools inhabited by hippo and crocodile. In Tsavo you'll stay at the famous Kilaguni Lodge, known for its water hole which attracts big game and spectacular birds. [all meals]
DAY FIVE & SIX - AMBOSELI
Cross the Shetani Lava Flow, only some 200 years old, and drive to Amboseli National Park . Snow-capped Kilimanjaro, at 19,340 feet the rooftop of Africa majestically dominates the landscape; springs fed by Kilimanjaro rainfall provide water and green grass for wildlife throughout the year. After lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge, enjoy the afternoon's game viewing in this land where elephants sometimes travel in herds of over 200, and where lion and cheetah share the marshland, lakes and thorn bush plains with large numbers of zebra, impala, gazelle and other antelopes. DAY SEVEN - ABERDARE
Morning flight to Nairobi then take a picnic lunch with you on your way into the Aberdare forest national park. Drive through the forest. You may see elephants, buffaloes, bongo, impalas, colobus and vervet monkeys etc. Dinner and overnight game viewing at the famous Ark Tree Hotel. [all meals]
DAY EIGHT & NINE - SAMBURU
After breakfast drive northwards and cross the equator, where you can be photographed with one foot in each hemisphere! Continue to the spectacular Northern Frontier District and the Samburu Reserve, rich in seldom-seen game including the handsome reticulated giraffe, the rare Grevy's zebra, the long- necked gerenuk antelope and the long-horned oryx. Samburu also has an astonishing variety of birds, including golden palm weavers and pygmy falcons. It is home for the nomadic Samburu tribe, a proud people whose warriors are noted for their startling ochre-colored hair and body painting. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge.
[all meals] DAY TEN & ELEVEN -MAASAI MARA
In the morning drive to the airstrip for your flight to Masai Mara, and reach the rolling grasslands of the Mara plains. This is the northern part of the great eco-system that includes Tanzania 's Serengeti to the south and which offers perhaps the finest game viewing in the world: great migrating herd of zebra, wildebeest and gazelle, and predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. This is “big game” country! Prides of more than 20 lions-- including large black-maned males-are not uncommon. Search in the trees and wooded gullies for the elusive leopard, and in the grasslands for cheetahs. Visit the pools of wallowing hippos along the Mara River . Meals and overnight at famous Governor’s Camp. [all meals]

DAY TWELVE - NAIROBI Depart
Fly to Nairobi for a day room in your hotel, perhaps last minute shopping before being transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
